<p>A transmission and brake interlock system comprising a lock member (14) mounted for movement with a transmission shift lever (12) on the transmission, and an interlock (19-27) between a brake pedal (15) of the automotive vehicle and the lock member (14) operable to prevent movement of the lock member (14) and shifting of the transmission out of a PARK position. When the brake pedal (15) is depressed, the lock member (14) is permitted to move and in turn the transmission lever (12) to move to shift out of the PARK position.</p> |
