PURPOSE:To provide a feed exhibiting excellent effect such as promotion of growth, improvement in feed efficiency, etc. when fed to a weaned ruminant, by using a fatty acid ester of dehydrated and cyclized sugar alcohol or an alkylene oxide adduct of said fatty acid ester, as an additive. CONSTITUTION:A fatty acid ester of a dehydrated and cyclized sugar alcohol, e.g. ester (preferably monoester, diester or triester) of sorbitan, mannitan, etc. and an about 6-24C fatty acid, and/or an alkylene oxide adduct of said fatty acid ester, e.g. polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, is added to a feed in an amount of usually 0.001-20wt%, preferably 0.01-10wt%. |
