PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of the magnetic material in a tape by incorporating CoC, MO and XO2 respectively at specific ratios into the substrate, interlayer insulating material or gap spacer material for the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The CoO is incorporated at 25 to 80mol%, The MO at 0 to 50mol% and the XO2 at 5 to 20mol% into the glass substrate, the interlayer insulating material and the gap spacer material. M is one kind of Ni or Mn, X is one kind of Ti, Zr of Hf. This substrate material has good machineability and is, therefore, easy to work and the magnetic head is formed by using this material as the substrate material and is constituted with the interlayer insulating material or the gap material is nearly equal in the coefft. of thermal expansion to amorphous alloys and, therefore, the alloy film does not peel in spite of vapor deposition by a sputtering device, etc. The adhesion of the magnetic material components in the tape during the tape traveling in wide environment is obviated in this way and the stable output is obtd. |
