<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the height of the lower drum of a drum unit by providing a notched section or through hole in the upper end section of the outer peripheral surface of the lower drum and a upper bonding agent injecting port on the line connecting the notched section or through hole and a shaft. CONSTITUTION:A notched section 25 is provided in the upper end section 23 of the outer peripheral surface of a lower drum 8 and a bonding agent injecting port 18a is formed at a position where a bonding agent injecting jig 50 can be inserted through the notched section 25. Then the jig 50 is inserted into the hole 18a from the section 25 and a bonding agent is injected between the outer peripheral surface of the outer race 12a of a bearing 40 with shaft and the fitting surface of the drum 8. Thus the bearing 40 and drum 8 are fixed to each other. In the course of the above-mentioned fixing works, the jig 50 is inserted from a direction, for instance, from the rear side where no magnetic tape 30 is wound around the drum 8 after the gape loading is completed and the tape 30 is wound around the drum 8. Therefore, the height of the lower drum 8 can be reduced without worsening the working efficiency of the sticking works. Thus the height of this drum unit can be reduced.</p> |
