A wire basket for the paper industry incorporates rods running in parallel to the rotationally symmetrical axis and rings connecting the rods. The rods form the sieve slits between themselves. The basket features tooth-like recesses in support rings and the rods are inserted into the recesses with a cross section part corresponding to the recesses. The rods are fastened by gluing, soldering or welding. The process for producing the wire basket uses a hobber, a gear shaper or a similar machine to produce the tooth-like recesses. A slotting machine and an indexing head can also be used. The bars can be fastened through arc, laser or electron beam welding. |
