Hydro-jet propulsion for watercraft is specified, comprising a cylindrical housing and a rotor which is eccentrically mounted in the housing, can be driven by means of a drive motor or the like and has radial slots in which blades are mounted in a radially displaceable manner and rotate with their radial outer edges sealed off along the inner peripheral surface of the housing. During this movement, chambers with volumes increasing in the area of a suction opening at the periphery of the housing and volumes decreasing in the area of a pressure opening at the periphery of the housing are produced between adjacent blades and the inner peripheral surface of the housing. The suction and pressure openings are connected by means of one flow passage each to a suction or discharge opening in the hull of the vessel. The flow of water passing through the housing of the hydro-jet propulsion is regulated by shifting the rotor axis of rotation, which is eccentric with regard to the housing.
