An epoxy resin powder coating composition which comprises: (A) an epoxy resin comprising mainly of a bisphenol A epoxy resin mixture of (a) a bisphenol A epoxy resin having a number average molecular weight of from 2,500 to 8,000 and (b) a bisphenol A epoxy resin having a number average molecular weight of from 350 to 1,700, said mixture having a number average molecular weight of from 1,700 to 4,500; (B) rubber powder in an amount of 2 to 30 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of said epoxy resin (A); (C) at least one hardener; and (D) a filler. The coating composition is particularly useful for the insulation of slots for motor rotors, exhibiting excellent thermal resistance, adhesiveness, impact resistance and coverage.
