<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from wrapping over a tape cylinder head due to dewing with simple constitution by disposing a barrier for preventing the tape from wrapping in the vicinity of the cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:The barrier 7 is disposed in a position between a guide post 2 on the side of sending out the tape and the cylinder head 1 and in the vicinity of the outer circumferential surface of the head 1 in the magnetic recording and reproducing device. Then, the tape 5 inside a tape cartridge 4 is drawn out by guide posts 2 and 3 to come into circular-arcuate contact with the outer circumferential surface of the rotating head 1, where the recording and reproducing are performed by the head 1. In this case, the tape 5 is scanned under the control of its tension by a tension roller 6. Then, even when the tape 5 is in contact with the head 1, becoming under the state of wrapping around the head 1 due to dewing of the tape 5 or the head 1, by the barrier 7 disposed between the head 1 and the guide post 2, the tape 5 is separated from the head 1, thus preventing the tape 5 from wrapping over the head 1.</p> |
