摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent outflow of lubricating oil to the refrigerant circuit side by a method wherein a swash plate chamber, a refrigerant circuit, and a shaft seal chamber are formed separately from each other, and the swash plate chamber and the shaft seal chamber, and the shaft seal chamber and the refrigerant circuit are intercoupled through respective small passages. CONSTITUTION:In a swash plate type compressor, by reciprocating a piston 13 through a shoe 14 through rotation of a swash plate 10, a refrigerant sucked from a suction chamber 21 to a cylinder is compressed, and thereafter it is delivered through a delivery chamber 23. In this case, a shaft seal chamber 24 is formed to the central part of a front housing 5 in a state in which the shaft seal chamber is separated away from the suction chamber 21 by means of a partition wall 25. Through-holes 26 and 27 having a small sectional area are formed in a valve plate 3 on the front side in positions situated facing the shaft seal chamber 24 and the suction chamber 21, and a groove 28 through which the two through-holes 26 and 27 are intercommunicated is formed on the front side of a cylinder block 1, resulting in intercommunication of the shaft seal chamber 24 and the suction side of a refrigerant circuit.</p>
