PURPOSE:To clean the surface of a lens without damaging it by bringing a static electricity generating rod into contact with a synthetic resin disk to charge it with static electricity and attracting dust on the lens of an optical head to clean the lens. CONSTITUTION:At the time of cleaning, an optical disk 2 and a synthetic resin disk 10 are continuously rotated and a motor 5 (6) is driven by a motor driving circuit 26, and an optical head 4 is moved and is set to the position of the disk 10. Next, a coil driving circuit 27 is operated and power is supplied to coils of static electricity generating rods 11 and 12 for about one minute. A magnetic field is generated by this power supply, and static electricity generating rods 11 and 12 are attracted to each other in the direction of an arrow F against a flat spring 14 and are brought into contact with the disk 10. Thus, static electricity is generated on outside peripheral parts of both faces 10a and 10b of the disk 10 and they are charged, and dust 20 and 21 on lenses 7 and 8 are attracted to the disk 10 and are removed to clean lens surfaces 7a and 8a. |
