PURPOSE: To use an ion semiconductor material in an electrochemical battery, in the purification of water, and in the migration of ions, etc., by forming a complex containing 10 to 50wt.% hydrogel dispersed in an inert nonporous matrix. CONSTITUTION: A material sheet is manufactured from 12% polyethylene oxide with a molecular weight of 4,000,000, and 88% polyvinylidene chloride, which are heat blended, pressurized, and mixed to form a flat material sheet; i.e., an ion conductor material obtained by forming a complex containing 10 to 50wt.% polymer (hydrogen) dispersed in an inert nonporous matrix is suitably usable in a wide range of applications, as in an electrochemical battery, in the purification of water, as a solid polymer electrolyte, as an air-permeable waterproof coating, or for moisture adjustment and ion migration, etc. |
