PURPOSE:To obtain a brain edema depressant useful for treating various brain diseases caused by brain edema, having excellent suppressing effects on brain edema, containing a solution of SHOSHIKOYUGOKEISHIKASHAKUYAKU comprising formula of Chinese herbal remedies as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A brain edema depressant containing a solution of SHOSHIKOYUGOKEISHIKASHAKUYAKU comprising formula of Chinese herbal remedies useful for various diseases such as epilepsy, bed-wetting or colitis ulcerosa as an active ingredient. The active ingredient is obtained by boiling 7g Bupleuri Radix, 6g Paeoniae Radix, 5g Pinelliae Tuber, 4g Cinnamomi Cortex, 4g iryphi Fructus, 3g Scutellariae Radix, 3g Ginseng Radix, 2g Glycyrrhizae Radix and 1g Zingiberis Rhizoma in 600ml water to give 350ml solution, removing dregs, is administered as a brain edema depressant dividedly three times and used as an essence agent of Chinese herbal remedies by taking readiness of administration and convenience of carrying. The active ingredient is blended with a carrier and an auxiliary, pharmaceutically manufactured into powder, granule, tablet, capsule, etc., administered. A dose is 3-15g/day calculated as dried weight of the active ingredient and administered dividedly several times. |
