PURPOSE:To form the title oxide superconducting material exhibiting a sharp resistance lowering by specifying the structure of the crystal, and further specifying the interrelation between the lattice constants of the crystal in its a-axis and c-axis directions in the bismuth-based oxide superconducting material. CONSTITUTION:The bismuth-based oxide superconducting material consists of bismuth, lead, strontium, calcium, copper, and oxygen, and has a tetragonal or pseudo tetragonal crystal structure. The material partly contains a superconductor wherein the lattice constants (a) and (c) in Angstrom in the a-axis and c-axis directions fulfill a <0.052.c+3.4747. The components of the superconductor are preferably mixed in such a molar ratio that BixPby(SruCavCuw)zOalpha is obtained. In the formula, x=0.150-0.215, y=0.030-0.090, z=0.720-0.800, u>0.254, v>0.257, w=0.400-0.430, alpha=0.8-1.3, (x+y+z)=1, and (u+v+w)=1. |
