PURPOSE:To start a reprinting from a jammed page without canceling a job by a method wherein information representing a presently printed page is managed by a printer, the page is identified at the occurrence of paper jamming, and next printing data is returned to the top of the page. CONSTITUTION:In a reprinting control part 10, the presence of the occurrence of paper jamming and the number of jammed sheets of paper are checked by hard information issued from a printer 1. If a paper jamming is absent, a point search of a next page is indicated to a point search processing 7a. If a paper jamming occurs, an error message output processing 11 is conducted, the point number to be returned for conducting a reprinting is calculated from the copy number of printing pages imparted from a printing page control table 8 and the number of paper jamming in the hard information. The point search processing 7a is informed of the change of a search point by the point number. In this manner, a page which is not assured of a correct printing due to a paper jamming can be surely reprinted. |
