Installation for carrying out the stacking and assembling of the three cores and of the lower yoke of an entangled E-shaped magnetic circuit of an electrical transformer, from four separate stacks 11 to 14 of preblanked metal sheets, each stack corresponding to a specified branch of the magnetic circuit, characterised in that it comprises a first positioning machine 19 including two work stations operating simultaneously, each work station taking successively one by one the upper metal sheets of one stack of metal sheets 11, 12 and then stacking them successively one by one with the respective offsets designed to form a group of n.d metal sheets 21, 22, in which n represents the number of identical metal sheets in one offset and d the offset number in a group of metal sheets, a second positioning machine 20 identical to the first machine and operating alternately with the first machine, after each fabrication of a group of metal sheets and a transfer machine 25 which takes successively group by group the groups of metal sheets made up alternately by the first and second machine and arranges them in their respective place on the E-shaped magnetic circuit 27. <IMAGE>
