PURPOSE:To execute proper heat cooking easily by comparing an output of a smoke detecting means with a reference value set beforehand and by controlling heating of foodstuff on the basis of a time elapsing from the time when the output reaches some prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:Foodstuff is heated, a scorched part begins to appear with the rise in temperature, and smoke 12 reaches the position of a smoke detecting element 1 from a heating chamber through a groove 7 or the like. The smoke scatters light 11 emitted from a light-emitting element 10, scattered light 13 is formed thereby, and by measuring the quantity of the scattered light 13, the smoke 12 can be detected as the density of an ambience. The result of this detection is transmitted to a control element 2. The control element 2 judges a time point when an output of the smoke detecting element 1 reaches a very low set amount, as the time point when the scorched part begins to appear on the foodstuff, and the extent and state of the scorched part on the foodstuff are adjusted on the basis of the length of a time elapsing from the time point. A light-sensing element 14 converts the quantity of the scattered light into the amount of a current and this amount is set to be the voltage across a third resistance 17. When the voltage across the resistance 17 exceeds a voltage corresponding to the set amount of the density of the smoke, a timer 19 starts to operate. The time counted by the timer 19 reaches a set value, and thus heat cooking is completed. |
