In the sulphur-containing product, the substrate of the sulphur is of the hard inorganic material, natural phosphate, phosphated fertiliser or enriching agent type. The substrate is ground and has its pores partially filled with sulphur. To prepare it, the starting point is a substrate which is ground and brought to a temperature of 145 DEG C, which is mixed intensively with liquid sulphur for a time sufficient for the sulphur to diffuse into the pores of the grains of the substrate, without filling them in completely, and then the mixture obtained is cooled. The substrate can, in particular, be a soft natural phosphate and/or Breton ameliorant.
