<p>A polyvinyl alcohol-starch film which is prepared from a composition comprising a polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of hydrolysis of at least 93% by mole and a starch, the film being at least uniaxially stretched. The film of the present invention is excellent in water resistance, and moreover in degradable property.</p>
