Refillable propelling pencil

The refillable propelling pencil has a pushbutton-actuated refill advancing mechanism, in which a conical clamping gripper subject to spring action can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the housing by a pushbutton and in which an eraser strand is arranged in the pushbutton. The clamping gripper is, for gripping the refill, connected to a refill tube which at its rear end receives the eraser and which for this purpose has a number of spring arms separated by slots, which arms at their free end form a further gripper head. Inserted between the spring arms are drag arms which at their free ends have thickenings and at the opposite ends form a closed braking ring which surrounds the eraser strand in a friction fit. The clamping ring has an inner cone and is movable between the outer cone of the gripper head and the thickenings of the drag arms. The pushbutton overlaps the eraser strand and rests on the braking ring by means of a contact web. The refillable propelling pencil consequently bears at its two opposite ends different refills or a refill and an eraser strand which can both be moved forward in a stepped manner for use.
