PURPOSE:To improve ant-proofing property and prevent the eating damage by termite by providing an ant-proofing layer containing obacunone and/or limonin. CONSTITUTION:On the outer circumferential surface of a conductor 2 made of a metal such as copper and aluminium, polyethylene, ethylene-propylene copolymerized rubber, or polyvinyl chloride is extruded by means of a general extrusion coating method to form an insulating layer 3 about 0.3-30mm thick. Then, an ant-proofing composite in which determined amounts of obacunone and/or limonin and a rubber composite or synthetic resin composition are mixed together is supplied to an extruder with a cross head die, and a sheath about 0.2-5mm thick having ant-proofing property is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the insulating layer 3 by means of extrusion coating method to make an ant-proofing layer 4. Hence, an excellent ant-proofing effect having persistency is exhibited, and the eating damage by insects such termite can be prevented. |
