PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply recognize burnout of the lamp of lighting equipment in the daylight by providing a display portion on the front face of the lighting equipment for displaying burnout of the lamp when electricity is transmitted to the equipment. CONSTITUTION:Since overhead lighting equipment is normally, and often opened and closed with its front face upwards for waterproof, a colored high intensity LED 3 is attached on the upper part of the front face 2 of the lighting body 1 of the overhead lighting equipment so that the complexity of wiring required to open and close the equipment is reduced. Its lighting circuit performs flashing of an LED 7 according to the on-off signals of lamp currents by a lamp lighting circuit consisting of a lamp power supply 6, a stabilizer 5 and a lamp 4. Another power supply is provided exclusively for the LED, while electricity is transmitted thereto in conjunction with power supply to the lamp. Burnout of the lamp can therefore be recognized promptly and easily in the daylight and the efficiency of work can be increased for maintaining road-lighting equipment where a number of lamps may be installed as in overhead lighting. |
