发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRODE OF ZINC-BROMINE CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength of an electrode and obtain good conductivity, and also to suppress deterioration of the electrode by molding a sheet using heat press after the mixing of specified ratio of compositions for the electrode. CONSTITUTION:Mixing ratio for compositions of electrode is defined as 61 to 72wt.% of polyethylene, 8 to 9wt.% of carbon black, and 20 to 30wt.% of carbon fiber, and after the mixing of them, a sheet is molded using heat press. For the electrode in which carbon fiber is included to obtain a predetermined resistivity, polyethylene can be added up to approximately 70wt.%, and the larger the matrix resin is, the greater the mechanical strength elasticty. For the proper feature of carbon fiber itself, the smaller the size of the fiber is, the lower the resistivity, while the longer the length of the fiber, the better the conductivity, however, if it is too long, there is a possibility of the generation of dendrite on the surface of cathode. For carbon fiber is used, mechanical strength is improved, thus suppressing warpage.
