A plurality of light-emitting diodes are intended to be capable of being mounted in a holder (having a holding block which can be mounted on a printed circuit board) at predetermined intervals alongside one another and one above the other on a printed circuit board such that their axes run parallel to one another and, at predetermined intervals, parallel to the plane of the printed circuit board. To this end, it is proposed to provide (in the front of the holding block) two rows of receptacles (which are arranged alongside one another) for light-emitting diodes, said rows of receptacles being one above the other, as well as vertically running grooves on the rear side for accommodating the connecting wires (which are bent around at right angles) of the light-emitting diodes. A holding body has holes for accommodating the connecting wires of the upper row of light-emitting diodes and can be connected to the holding block by latching means.
