In a device for the remote control of security devices, particularly of central locking systems and/or test protection systems in motor vehicles, with a transmitter which, when operated, sends out a coded electromagnetic signal, with a receiver which exhibits receiving means for the signal of the transmitter, which exhibits a memory for a code, which exhibits a comparator for comparing the signal with the code and which exhibits means for overwriting the code with the received signal when switching means are operated on the receiver or the protection device, the transmitter exhibits a random number generator in order to avoid the generation of a code for the transmitter and programming of the transmitter with this code. The transmitter furthermore exhibits a transmitter memory for the signal and means for overwriting the signal when the random number generator generates a new signal.
