PURPOSE:To obtain high reliability and high S/N by successively laminating reflecting films consisting of metallic film patterns corresponding to prescribed digital information, a chloride film consisting of one kind of specific chloride and a protective film successively on a transparent disk-shaped substrate. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting films 3 consisting of the metallic film patterns corresponding to the prescribed digital information, the chloride film 5 consisting of at least one kind of the chloride of Ag, K or Cu and the protective film 6 are successively formed on the transparent disk-shaped substrate. The reflecting films are patterned by etching to record the digital information. The contact defect and corrosion of the reflecting films generated at the boundaries between the recesses and projecting parts of rugged patterns are, therefore, suppressed and the unnecessary reflection in the regions where the patterned reflecting films do not exist is suppressed. The optical disk having the high reliability and high S/N is obtd. in this way. |
