A process for recovering a coded signal sequence recorded together with other information on a movable storage medium and consisting of frequency-modulated a.c. voltage signals, preferably for recovering optically recorded markings (time codes) on cine film. A d.c. voltage component in the signal sequence is eliminated and the a.c. voltage signal is digitalised, whereby the trigger threshold is shifted by a predetermined amount to digitalise the a.c. voltage signal.
