摘要 The invention relates to a knee joint endoprosthesis, essentially comprising a tibial component, a femoral component and preferably a patellar component, as well as elastic damping elements and connecting elements. The tibial, femoral and patellar components are preferably each made of an element anchored in the bone and sliding surface elements fitted on these anchorage elements. Anchorage is effected via dowel-like elements in which the "dowels" have a larger cross-section in the depth of the bone cavity than in the entry region. The load-bearing components of the anchorage are buffered relative to the bone via elastic damping elements. The sliding surface elements are durably and firmly connected to the anchorage elements; additional attachment of further elastic damping elements, inter alia in these elements, is provided. Connection of the femoral component to the tibial component is essentially effected via artificial cruciate ligaments; provision is made for the artificial replacement of the meniscus apparatus. One of the characterising features is that the shapes, predominantly in the function region of the joint surfaces, including the region of the intercondylar eminences, the menisci, the retropatellar joint surface and in the region of the cruciate ligaments, exactly imitate the anatomically normal knee joint.
