<p>PURPOSE: To accurately identify fingerprint to improve the reliability by calculating coordinate components of positions and angles in the overall range of a preparatory rotation angle with respect to plural details of the examination fingerprint and obtaining plural vector images related to respective details of the examination fingerprint. CONSTITUTION: At the time of operation of a hardware matching device, a control line 22 and a data line 42 are used to load an examination fingerprint data management unit 41, which is provided with a RAM, with generalized examination part data. Next, a control line 14 and a data line 32a are used to load a generalized filed fingerprint buffer 83a with data related to several filed fingerprints. Finally, the control line 14 and a data line 32b are used to load a generalized filed fingerprint buffer 83b, and various controls required for the start of matching of examination fingerprint data in the unit 41 are energized. Coordinate components of positions and angles in the overall range of the preparatory rotation angle are calculated with respect to plural details of the examination fingerprint stored in the buffer 83a, thereby obtaining plural vector images related to respective details of the examination fingerprint.</p> |
