The assembly consists of a blast head housing (5) provided with pipe connections (1) and/or threaded inlets (2) for the reception of the blast medium hose (3) and the return hose (3), which has a connection (7) for the reception of a control line (6), a vacuum measuring unit (8) with min. and optimum setting. The control line is subjected to a vacuum and an electric contact breaker is provided for switching off the sand jet. The connection is arranged in the region of the annular duct (11) formed by the blast guide element (10) and the inner wall (5a) of the blast head housing. A vacuum measurement cell functions as the vacuum measuring unit and a relay, which works onthe deadman's handle principle, is connected directly to the electrical contact breaker (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - Vacuum in blast head is measured and compared with specified value. If this value is not reached sand jet is switched off or the unit is protected against switch-on.
