<p>PURPOSE:To enable the prevention of the entrapping of a long thread waste and the increase of rotary resistance without any damage to the pile of a loop carpet by improving the shape of a projection provided at the slide part of a blade erected on the rotary brush of a cleaner. CONSTITUTION:A rotary brush 1 and a motor 3 for driving the brush 1 via belt 2 are provided within the suction port of an electric cleaner. The rotary brush 1 is so made that a flexible blade is erected on the external surface of a rotary main shaft 4 and the infinite number of projections 16 are formed integrally with the blade 5 near the tip of one side thereof. The root part of the projection 16 is so formed as to have cone shape with the tip thereof cut off and the tip part of the projection 16 is made to have an approximately semi-spherical shape. In addition, provided that an arbitrary point (a) is taken on a line drawn from the point M of the root part nearest the rotary shaft side to the apex of the projection 16, a tangental line at the point (a) is ab and the lowest point of the blade 5 is A, an angle formed with A-a-b or theta is made less than 90 deg.. According to the aforesaid construction, the slide surface 16a of the projection 16 at the side of the rotary main shaft 4 strongly rubs a floor surface and takes in a thread waste. On the other hand, the engagement part of the projection 16 and the thread waste mnves from (1) to (3), and the thread waste is thereby detached finally.</p> |
