PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus for glossing sheets by incorporating a first pair of rolls for supplying the sheets to a sheet holding means, a blower for generating a hot air blown through a heating element onto the sheet, and a second pair of low temperature rolls for receiving the sheets. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin side of a sheet 22 is a state separated from a transfer platform 24. The platform 24 has a slot 26, which becomes an exist of a heating fan and extends in a width direction of the platform 24. A heating element 28 is installed under the slot 26 of the platform 24 to supply heat for glossing. A blower 30 is installed under the element 28, a pneumatic pressure is applied to the sheet 22, the sheet 22 is floated from the platform 24 to effectively conduct a uniform thermal contact. After the sheet 22 is passed through the platform 24, a second set of low temperature rolls 32 receive the sheet 22, and the sheet 22 is discharged from a glossing unit 18. |
