FILTRATING MATERIAL FOR MOLTEN METAL

PURPOSE:To surely remove even fine solid impurity in molten metal by crystallizing inorganic binder and making growth of the crystal in order to stick and remove the solid phase impurity in the molten metal flowing filtrating passage to the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The filtrating passage 2 in filtrating material for molten metal is formed to network state among aggregate particles 4 by binding the plural aggregate particles 4 with the inorganic binder 3. The molten metal is passed through the filtrating passage 2 to remove the solid impurity 1 and the inorganic binder 3 is crystallized. Then, in order to stick and remove the solid impurity 1 in the molten metal flowing in the filtrating passage to the surface thereof, the crystal is grown.
