PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic actuator having high general-purpose properties by installing a circular pipe member and a piezoelectric expansion body deformed abutted against the inner circumferential surface of the circular pipe member. CONSTITUTION:The external shape of an ultrasonic actuator is composed of a vibration cylindrical body 11 consisting of aluminum, etc., and a cylindrical piezoelectric actuator 12 is mounted along the rectilinear diameter of the cylindrical body at a central position in the axial direction in the cylindrical body 11. Washers are interposed among the end sections of the actuator 12 and the cylindrical body 11, and bonded by adhesives. The AC voltage of fixed frequency is applied to each electrode of the actuator 12 from a power supply section. Consequently, an expansion and contraction motion in the longitudinal direction corresponding to applied voltage frequency is generated in the piezoelectric actuator 12, and the vibration cylindrical body 11 is deformed elliptically. Accordingly, a simple power transmission mechanism can be manufactured. |
