PURPOSE:To obtain a clad layer with high quality by dropping powder for laser beam cladding from a powder feed nozzle and irradiating a laser beam on a drop part on a work and melting the work surface and powder to eliminate directivity of laser beam cladding. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam 7 is reflected by a concave mirror 6 to form a laser beam irradiation part A on the surface of the work 8. Meantime, the powder 4 in a hopper 3 is supplied to the laser beam irradiation part A formed on the surface of the work 8 from the powder feed nozzle 1 by gravity and Ar gas 5 supplied from a carrier-gas path 2. By this method, the powder 4 and the surface of the work 8 are molten by the laser beam 7 and the clad layer 9 is formed on the surface of the work 8. By this method, since the powder drops vertically and spreads out hardly, the incident ratio of the laser beam on the irradiation surface increases and cladding yield of the powder is improved. |
