PURPOSE:To obtain an impact-resistant plate with excellent impact resistance by impregnating a high-MW polyethylene fiber (non)woven fabric as a base material with a resin so as to obtain a specified resin content. CONSTITUTION:The aimed impact-resistant plate is obtd. by using a high-MW polyethylene fiber or nonwoven fabric as a base material, impregnating this with a resin so as to obtain a resin content of 10-30wt.% and laminating and molding them. As the adhesiveness of the high-MW polyethylene fiber with thermosetting resins is usually poor, it is pref. in order to improve the adhesiveness that a physically or chemically surface-treated fiber is used. By performing such a treatment, it is possible to provide a proper adhesiveness. As the high-MW polyethylene, one with an MW of 1,000,000 or larger is pref. As a fabric of the high-MW polyethylene fiber, one with a thickness of 0.4-0.7mm and a wt. of 200-450g/m<2> is pref. As the matrix, thermosetting resins are used and a phenol-polyvinyl butyral resin is pref. |
