摘要 <p>A manually-controllable adjustable locking mechanism for a cable control system comprising a housing (30) having a rectangular opening (34) extending therethrough and a telescopic member (35) having a rectangular cross-section extending into, and guided by, the opening (34) of the housing (30). The telescopic member (35) has opposed, transversely-extending sets of teeth (41,42) on opposite internal sides and external sides thereof. The housing (30) has a rectangular opening (44) extending transversely of, and intersecting, the first mentioned rectangular opening (34). The opposed sets of teeth (41,42) extend downwardly at an angle from the opening (44). A locking member (43) has a substantially rectangular cross section and is positioned within the transverse opening (44) and is manually movable between a first locking position and a second unlocking position. The locking member (43) has opposed sets of internal teeth (50,51) adapted to engage the sets of teeth (41,42) on the telescopic member (43) in the locking position of the locking member, and adapted to have the teeth thereon disengaged from the sets of teeth on the telescopic member in the second, unlocked position thereof.</p>
