PURPOSE:To control an output frequency without stopping an induction motor by comparing the input or output current of an inverter detected by current detecting means with that at the time of overload set by current setting means. CONSTITUTION:A current transformer 12 provided as current detecting means for detecting the input current of an inverter 5 is so provided as to protect so that the input current of an air conditioner does not exceed a rated value of a plug socket. A voltage smoothed by a smoothing capacitor 17 for smoothing a divided voltage is input to a microcomputer 10 as the detected value of the input current of the inverter 5. The microcomputer 10 compares the detected value with the input current value at the time of overload condition responsive to the output frequency of the inverter 5, and controls the output frequency of an induction motor 6 of a compressor. That is, frequency control means for controlling the setting means of the input current value and output frequency at the time of overload condition by the microcomputer 10 is composed. |
