<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate removal of wire by fixing a vacuum unit to one end of a conduit in order to evacuate the conduit and feeding air, together with abrasive, from the other end of the conduit in order to abrade the insulation coation of a wire. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle mounting a vacuum unit 5 is stopped closely to a manhole 4, then an enclosed coupling unit 7 is fixed to one end of a conduit 2 and coupled through a hose 6 with the vacuum unit 5. Air is sucked from the conduit 2 through the vacuum unit 5, then a regulator 9 is placed in a manhole 8 at the other end of the conduit 2 and coupled with a hose 6' and an enclosed coupling unit 7' in order to feed abrasive from a hopper 10. Grain size of the abrasive is increased gradually as the process proceeds and compressed air is also fed as required.</p> |
