PURPOSE:To selectively perform rough grinding and finish grinding, by mounting two cup-shaped grindstones of coarse and fine grain to a grindstone spindle through a variable pressure cavity and causing elastic deformation in the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:Rough grinding an finish grinding stones 6 and 7 of cup shape are mounted to a grindstone spindle 1, and a ring-shaped groove 10 is formed to an external bottom surface 7a of the finish grinding stone, that is, a junction part of said stones 6, 7, then said surface 7a is adapted to an internal bottom surface 6a of the rough grinding stone to form a cavity part 10. In this constitution, pressure in the cavity part is adjusted to perform position control of a stone face 7b of the stone 7 to protruding, retracting and equally levelling states for a grinding face 6b of the stone 6, and work of finish, rough grinding and dressing can be selectively performed as necessary. |
