发明名称 VEHICLE RUNNING POSITION DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable display of a running position of a vehicle properly by identifying a deviation from the surface of a map road based on map information stored beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A running distance detection means M1 detects a running distance of a vehicle while a bearing detection means M2 detects an ongoing bearing of the vehicle and a map memory means M3 stores map information containing a plurality of inspection points set on a road map. Then, a position judging means M4 judges whether a position of the vehicle as calculated from the running distance and the ongoing bearing is on a map road stored in the means M3 or is deviated therefrom and a correction display means 5 corrects and displays the calculated position when it is on the map road. A deviation time display means M6 displays the calculated position as intact when it is deviated therefrom. Moreover, when a return judging means M7 judges that a locus of the calculated position is along the map road stored after the deviation is identified by the means M4, the display is returned to that by the means M5 and the means M5 corrects and displays the calculated position again.
