PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for preventing or treating migraine in mammal, comprising a thromoboxane A2 receptor antagonist of 7-oxabicycloheptane prostaglandin analog and capable of effectively reducing frequency and severity of migraine. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises a thromboxane A2 receptor antagonist which is a 7-oxabicyclopeptane prostaglandin analog, e.g. a compound of formula I [A is CH=CH or (CH2 ); B is A or C≡C; (m1 ) is 1-8; X is OH, formula II, etc.; Y is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an aryl, pyridyl, etc.] as an active ingredient. The compound of the formula can be administered to whole body of mammal by oral, parenteral administration, etc., during the migraine or before or after starting migraine.
