摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain the objective compound in high yield without causing stress corrosion and useless consumption of raw materials by reacting acetone and/or its condensate with ammonia using ammonium bisulfate as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective 2,2,6, 6-tetramethyl-4-oxopiperidine useful as a raw material for polymer stabilizer and bleaching agent is produced by reacting acetone and/or its condensate with ammonia in the presence of 0.5-20wt.% (preferably 2-10wt.%) of ammonium sulfate catalyst based on the whole reaction system at a molar ratio (acetone/ammonia) of 2-20 (preferably 3-7). The compound can be produced in high yield on an industrial scale at a low cost without using a halide-resistant reactor in contrast with the process using ammonium chloride as a catalyst while preventing the loss of methanol and acetone, etc., inevitable in a process using sulfuric acid as a catalyst. |
