PURPOSE:To enable positive stable triboelectrifiability to be maintained by incorporating a specified anthracene compound. CONSTITUTION:The positively chargeable toner comprises at least a binder resin and a colorant, and contains the anthracene compound represented by formula I in which R1 is H or halogen; R2 is 1 - 4 C alkyl, 1 - 4 C alkoxy, or the like; and R3 is H, alkyl, or the like. An amount of the anthracene compound to be used depends upon the kind of binder resin, the presence of additives to be added when needed, and the method of toner manufacture including the method of dispersion, thus permitting positive stable triboelectrifiability to be obtained. |
