PURPOSE:To obtain a positively or negatively chargeable type electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity by adding an electric charge transfer material incorporated in a state of solid solution or dispersion into a polycarbonate resin having specified monomer units to a charge transfer layer or a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer constituting a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate or the protective layer to be formed on this photosensitive layer contains the charge transfer material incorporated in a state of solid solution or dispersion in the polycarbonate resin having the monomer units each represented by formula I in which R1 is H, methyl, or the like; R2 is methyl, cyano, or the like, or R1 may combine with R2 to form a saturated 5- or 6-membered ring; and X is Cl or Br, thus permitting the positively or negatively chargeable type electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity to be obtained. |
