PURPOSE:To obtain an external preparation for skin, which acts on skin mildly and shows excellent effect for acne without hormone-like side action by using one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of asparagusic acid and its derivatives. CONSTITUTION:The subject external preparation for skin is obtained adding 1 or more compounds selected from asparagusic acid or its derivatives of formulas I through III (R is H, alkyl, K, Na). The amount of the component used is 0.001 to 5wt.% based on the total amount of the preparation. Asparagusic acid, dihydroasparagusic acid and asparagusic acid oxide are extracted from asparagus in a general manner. It has no hormone-like side action, and acts mildly on the skin to show excellent effect against acne. |
