PURPOSE:To prevent indentations from returning to its original shape and make a sealing member and a case come closely into contact and then prevent inferior sealing by providing a high molecular polymer at each indentation of the case which is prepared to fix the sealing member. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element 5 is housed in a metallic case 1 and an opening end of the case 1 is sealed by a sealing member 2. In a capacitor enclosed in the case where its sealing member 2 is fixed by indenting a part or parts of the case 1, a high molecular polymer 4 is filled in respective indentations 3 of the case, thereby making its polymer set completely later on. For example, as to the above molecular polymer 4, each indentation 3 of the case 1 is covered with a tape 7 and a hole 8 is made in a part of each tape. An epoxy resin and the like are filled in the indentation by injecting the resin through the hole 8. When its filling is complete, the polymer 4 is allowed to set by heating and then its polymer is formed by peeling off the tape 7. Thus the formation of the polymer 4 prevents each indentation from returning to its original shape and makes it possible to obtain the capacitor element enclosed in the case which prevents inferior sealing caused by deformation of the indentation. |
