PURPOSE:To make LD excitation light coupleable with optical fibers with high efficiency while easily stopping down fiber outgoing light for being absorbed and incident by a laser medium and for making the whole system highly efficient and facilitating control by using optical fibers where a diameter on the laser diode side is larger than a diameter on the optical resonator side. CONSTITUTION:In a fiber bond type laser diode excitation solid laser, where excitation light of a laser diode is guided by an optical fibers to be incident on an optical resonator, excitation LD light 6 outgoing from the laser diode 1 is once condensed by a coupling optical system 2 followed by being guided by an optical fibers 8, where its diameter is larger on an outgoing end than on an incident end for being again condensed by the coupling optical system 2 to be guided to a laser rod 3. The laser rod 3 and an output mirror 5 form the optical resonator and oscillation light goes out from a laser head 9 as outgoing laser light 7. Further, 4 is a nonlinear optical crystal to be set up as occasion demands. |
