The method for locking start switch to prevent wrong operation after starting by a program stored in one chip microcomputer comprises a first step for checking operation of mocrpwave oven (MWO) by checking signal from function switches, a second step for discriminating that the switch pressed is an energy adjusting switch when Mwo is operating, a third step for executing an operating program according to the function switching when the Mwo is not operating, and a fourth step for checking that a function switch is pressed when the energy adjusting switch is pressed and power is supplied to magnetron and for controlling energy controller (1) in response the energy adjusting switch.
