<p>PURPOSE: To improve safety by pivotally moving a spherical valve body to a second position, in which it is engaged with a male type coupling half member in a housing member, in advance of matching and connection between a sure interlocking device and a connector element. CONSTITUTION: When a spherical valve body 30 is pivotally moved, an interlock pin 56 is pulled out form recess parts 58, 60 so as to be moved into a ring type split groove 62, and a latch 64 restricts pivotal movement of a body valve 30, so that operation safety can be improved. The latch 64, to which a spring load is applied, is seated in a hole 65 close to a spherical end part cap 46 of the spherical body 30, while its neck part 68 is matched with one of notches in an outline groove 66 of an upper housing section 24, so that pivotal motion of the valve body 30 is restricted and three valve operation positions for a hose coupling 10 are decided. When the latch 64 is pressed, the neck part 68 is released from the outline 66, and a male type coupling is allowed to move between valve operation positions. In this way, accidental release is prevented and safety is increased, and mechanical abrasion can be reduced.</p> |
