An edge cutter comprising a cutter member and support means therefore adapted to be moved to cut along a guide such as the edge of a path, comprising: means to support the cutter member on transport means, means to allow the cutter member to move laterally with respect to the direction of movement of the transport means, means to urge the cutter member to move toward the guide, and, means to allow the cutter member to caster to align with the guide.
